From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line to Karasuma-Oike Station, then transfer to the Tozai Line and get off at Higashiyama Station. From there, it's a 10-15 minute walk to Ebisuya Higashiyama. Subway fare is approximately ¥260. Alternatively, take Kyoto City Bus number 206 from Kyoto Station to the Gojozaka bus stop, followed by a 10-minute walk. The bus fare is ¥230.

Taxis are readily available from Kyoto Station. The ride to Ebisuya Higashiyama takes approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic, and costs around ¥2,500 - ¥3,000. Note that taxi fares in Kyoto are calculated based on distance and time, and may be higher at night.

From Kiyomizu-Gojo Station (Keihan Line), it's a pleasant 20-minute walk to Ebisuya Higashiyama, allowing you to soak in the atmosphere of the surrounding streets. From Gion-Shijo Station (Keihan Line) or Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station (Hankyu Line), it's approximately a 25-30 minute walk. Walking is a great way to experience the Higashiyama district, but be mindful of the distance and wear comfortable shoes.
