Public Transport
From Osaka-Abenobashi Station, take the Kintetsu Minami-Osaka Line to Taimadera Station. The journey takes approximately 35 minutes. From Kyoto Station, take the Kintetsu Line via Yamato-Saidaiji and Kashiharajingu-mae to Taimadera Station; this takes just under two hours. From Kintetsu Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Line via Yamato-Saidaiji, Kashiharajingu-mae, and Shakudo Station to Taimadera Station, about one hour. From Taimadera Station, it's a 15-minute walk to the temple. Kintetsu Line fares from Osaka-Abenobashi to Taimadera are around ¥840.
Walking
From Kintetsu Taimadera Station, exit and walk west. The path to Taima-dera Temple is a straight, 15-minute walk. The route is well-marked and lined with traditional houses, small restaurants, and confectionery shops. There are no entrance fees for the general temple complex, but individual gardens or halls may have separate admission fees.
