Rising dramatically from the HEP Five shopping complex in Osaka's bustling Umeda district, the HEP Five Ferris Wheel is a vibrant red landmark and a unique attraction. Opened in 1998, it was the first Ferris wheel in the world to be integrated into a building. The boarding platform is located on the 7th floor, making it seem as though the wheel pierces right through the building.The Ferris wheel has a 75-meter diameter and reaches a height of 106 meters, offering a 360-degree panoramic view of Osaka. On a clear day, you can see as far as the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge to the east and Mt. Ikoma to the west. At night, the city lights sparkle below, creating a breathtaking spectacle. Each of the 52 gondolas seats four people and is equipped with air conditioning and heating, ensuring a comfortable 15-minute ride regardless of the season.
