Walking
From the main entrance of Maruyama Park, head south towards the main road (Maruyama Koen Dori). As you walk, you will see various signs directing you to the Maruyama Zoo. Follow the road until you reach the intersection with Maruyama Koen Dori, where you will see the entrance to the zoo on your left. This walk should take approximately 10-15 minutes.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to take public transport, you can walk to the nearest bus stop located at the intersection of Maruyama Koen Dori and the park entrance. Take the Sapporo City Bus No. 40 or 41 towards Maruyama. Get off at the Maruyama Koen bus stop. The bus ride will take about 5 minutes. Note that a single bus fare costs around 210 yen.
Walking
Once you are at the Maruyama Koen bus stop, walk towards the entrance of Maruyama Zoo, which is clearly marked. The zoo entrance is approximately a 5-minute walk from the bus stop. If you wish to continue to the top of Maruyama, follow the signs leading up the hill from the zoo entrance.
