If you are driving, the easiest way to reach Kagami-numa pond is by taking the Tohoku Expressway. From Sendai, take the expressway north towards Morioka. Exit at the Hachimantai IC (Hachimantai Interchange). From the interchange, follow Route 282 towards Hachimantai. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the Kagami-numa Pond area. Parking is available nearby, but there may be a small fee (around 500 yen) for parking.

If you prefer public transportation, take the Shinkansen (bullet train) from major cities like Sendai or Tokyo to Morioka Station. From Morioka, transfer to the local Iwate Galaxy Railway and take the train to Hachimantai Station. From Hachimantai Station, take a bus towards the Hachimantai area. The bus service operates a few times a day, so be sure to check the schedule in advance. The bus fare is approximately 1,000 yen. Once you arrive at the bus stop for Kagami-numa, it's a short walk to the pond.
