The Mori Art Museum, perched atop the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, offers a unique cultural experience that combines contemporary art with panoramic views of Tokyo. Founded in 2003 by real estate developer Minoru Mori, the museum reflects his vision of integrating culture into urban life.
The museum's collection includes around 460 works, primarily avant-garde and contemporary pieces from Japan and East Asia. However, the museum is known for its temporary exhibitions of works by internationally-renowned artists. Past exhibitions have featured artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Ai Weiwei, and Anish Kapoor. The museum also hosts smaller solo exhibitions and screening programs.
Visitors enter the museum through the "Museum Cone" on the 2nd floor of the Mori Tower. A high-speed elevator whisks them to the 52nd and 53rd floors, where the museum is located. In addition to the art, visitors can enjoy the Tokyo City View observation deck and the Sky Deck for an additional fee.

Public Transport
From Roppongi Station (Hibiya or Oedo Lines), take Exit 1C for direct access to Roppongi Hills. Follow signs for the Mori Tower and the "Museum Cone" entrance. Take the high-speed elevator to the 3rd floor to purchase your tickets. Then, proceed to the 53rd floor for the Mori Art Museum. Subway fare from Tokyo Station to Roppongi Station is approximately ¥200.
Walking
From Roppongi Station, follow the signs to Roppongi Hills, which is about a 5-minute walk. Enter the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower via the Museum Cone. The "Museum & Observatory Tickets / Information” counter is on the 3rd floor of the Mori Tower. Take the elevator to the 53rd floor for the Mori Art Museum.
Taxi
Take a taxi to Roppongi Hills Mori Tower. From Tokyo Station, the taxi ride will cost approximately ¥2,500 - ¥3,500, depending on traffic. Enter the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower via the Museum Cone. The “Museum & Observatory Tickets / Information” counter is on the 3rd floor. Take the elevator to the 53rd floor for the Mori Art Museum.
Driving
Drive to Roppongi Hills and use the Roppongi Hills Parking. The parking fee is ¥300 per 30 minutes. Discounts are available if you purchase museum tickets; show your parking ticket at the counter to receive points. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor to purchase your tickets. Then, proceed to the 53rd floor for the Mori Art Museum.
