Car
If you are driving, head towards Route 27 from central Wakasa. Follow Route 27 for about 15 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route 303. Turn onto Route 303 and continue for another 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Shakushi on your right. The parking area is available near the entrance. Please note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around 500 yen.
Public Transportation
To reach Shakushi by public transport, start at Wakasa Station. Take the Fukui Railway Bus (bound for Mikatakaminaka) and get off at Shakushi Bus Stop. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. From the bus stop, it is a short 5-minute walk to the Shakushi attraction. The bus fare is around 600 yen.
