  • Public Transport

    From Yamanashi-shi Station, take a taxi for approximately 10 minutes to reach Kubota Orchard. Taxi fare will be around ¥1,500 - ¥2,000. Alternatively, consider local bus routes towards Horinouchi area, but walking from the nearest bus stop will be required.

  • Car

    From the Katsunuma Interchange on the Chuo Expressway, it takes about 25 minutes to reach Kubota Orchard. Follow the local roads towards Yamanashi City and look for signs for Kubota Orchard. Parking is available at the orchard. Note that the orchard doesn't have a public restroom.

Kubota Orchard (くぼた園) is a family-run fruit farm nestled in Yamanashi City, Yamanashi Prefecture, known as Japan's fruit basket. This delightful orchard offers visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the region's agricultural heritage and savor the flavors of freshly grown, seasonal fruits. Throughout the year, Kubota Orchard cultivates a variety of fruits, including cherries, peaches, and grapes. Depending on the season, visitors can participate in fruit-picking activities, such as cherry picking from late May, peach picking from early July, and grape picking from late August. The orchard prides itself on employing organic farming methods that are gentle on both the environment and people. Kubota Orchard is located in the Yawata area, a fertile land with a rich history dating back to the Muromachi period. The area was developed by Takeda Shingen, and the soil continues to nurture delicious fruits. In addition to fruit picking, the orchard welcomes pets and is located near other attractions, such as the Nezu Memorial Hall, the Yokomizo Seishi Museum, and the Fuefuki River Fruit Park.
