As the most popular and developed of the four 5th stations on Mount Fuji, the General Administration Center is easily accessible by public transportation from Tokyo. It marks the halfway point of the Yoshida Trail, the most frequented path to the summit. Even for those not planning to climb, the 5th Station offers breathtaking views of the Fuji Five Lakes area and surrounding landscapes. An observation point near the Komitake Shrine provides unobstructed views of Fujiyoshida City and Lake Yamanaka. The center itself is equipped with restrooms and snack shops, allowing visitors to prepare for their journey. Here, you can purchase hiking sticks, snacks, water, and oxygen, though prices increase at higher elevations. During the climbing season (July 1 to September 10), private vehicle access to the 5th Station is restricted.
