  • Public Transport

    From Mt. Fuji Station, take the Fujikyuko Bus bound for 明見小橋下 (Akemi Kobashi). The bus ride is approximately 11 minutes and costs ¥260-¥370. From the bus stop, it's a walk to the trailhead. Alternatively, take the Fujikyuko Line to Shimoyoshida Station. From there, walk south, passing Omuro Sengen-jinja Shrine, to reach Fudo-yu hot spring, a starting point for some trails.

    From Mt. Fuji Station, a taxi to the Mt. Shakushi Gateway Camp or Fudo-yu Onsen (不動湯) costs approximately ¥2,700-¥3,300 and takes about 7 minutes. This is a convenient option to reach the trailhead directly. Taxi availability may vary, so it's advisable to check in advance.

  • Walking

    From Shimoyoshida Station, it's approximately a 1-hour walk to Fudo-yu Onsen. Head south, passing Omuro Sengen-jinja Shrine. Continue towards the Fujimi Bypass and Sagami River before reaching the hot spring, which marks the start of some hiking trails. Be prepared for a long but scenic walk.
