If you are already in Zao Onsen, the Zao Onsen Dairotenburo is easily accessible by foot. From the Zao Onsen bus terminal, head northwest along the main road for about 10 minutes. You will pass several shops and ryokan (traditional inns). Continue straight until you reach the sign for Dairotenburo, which will be on your right. The path may be slightly steep in parts, so wear comfortable walking shoes.

If you are driving, start from the Zao Onsen area and head west on Route 13. After about 2 kilometers, look for signs indicating Zao Onsen Dairotenburo. The parking area is located nearby, but be aware that there may be a parking fee, typically around 500 yen. After parking, follow the signage to walk to the Dairotenburo, which is approximately a 5-minute walk from the parking area.

To reach Zao Onsen Dairotenburo using public transportation, take a bus from Yamagata Station to Zao Onsen. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes and costs approximately 1,200 yen. Upon arrival at the Zao Onsen bus terminal, follow the walking instructions provided above to reach Dairotenburo. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip, as services may be limited in the evening.
