Overview

Nestled on Jersey's northeastern coast, between Gorey and St. Catherine, Anne Port is a charming and relatively secluded bay offering a tranquil escape. The beach itself is a mix of fine golden sand and pebbles, particularly revealed at mid to low tide. The gentle shelving and generally calm waters make it a safe environment for swimming and paddling, popular with families and those seeking a peaceful dip.Overlooking the bay at its southern end is Le Saut Geoffroi (Jeffrey's Leap), a rock face steeped in local legend. It's said that this cliff was once the site of ancient executions, where those suspected of witchcraft were pushed over the edge. While the bay offers a serene and natural setting, it's worth noting that facilities are limited. There are toilets available, and a short walk north along the coastal path will bring you to the adjacent Archirondel Bay, where you'll find a café.Anne Port is known for its breathtaking sunrises, offering early morning visitors a stunning display of colors. The bay enjoys the morning and midday sun, making it a great spot to visit before the early afternoon. The surrounding area also offers opportunities for coastal walks, allowing visitors to explore the rugged cliffs and lush greenery that characterize this part of Jersey.
