St Catherine's Woods, nestled on the east coast of Jersey, offers a tranquil escape into nature. Also known as Rozel Woods, this picturesque woodland is ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat. St Catherine's Woods was also affected, but a surprising number of trees survived. Today, you can still see large, multiple-stemmed trees that regrew after being cut down during that time. The path through the woods is thought to follow the route of a Perquage, an ancient path running from St Martin's Parish Church to the coast, possibly used by smugglers.
