    Start by driving from the center of Burial Mounds towards Wadi Musa. Follow the signs for 'Petra' on the main road (Route 35). After approximately 5 km, you will arrive at the Petra Visitor Centre. Park your car in the designated parking area (note that there may be a parking fee of around 5 JOD). From the Visitor Centre, walk towards the entrance of Petra, where you will begin your journey through the Siq.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Burial Mounds, head to the main bus station to find buses heading to Wadi Musa. The bus ride takes about 30-45 minutes and costs around 2 JOD. Once you arrive at the Wadi Musa bus station, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Petra Visitor Centre, which is approximately 2 km away. The taxi ride will cost around 3-5 JOD. Once at the Visitor Centre, follow the signs to the entrance of Petra.

  • Walking

    If you are already in Wadi Musa and prefer to walk, head towards the Petra Visitor Centre, which is about a 30-minute walk from the main square. Follow the main road (Route 35) until you reach the centre. After entering, you will walk through the Siq, which is the narrow gorge leading to Petra.
