Getting There

• Public Bus

  From Dead Sea, head to the nearest bus stop, which is usually located near your hotel or resort. Look for buses heading towards Jerusalem. You can take the bus number 486 or 487, which frequently operates between the Dead Sea area and Jerusalem. The journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Jerusalem Central Bus Station, follow the signs to the light rail station connected to the bus terminal.

• Shared Taxi (Service Taxi)

  Another option is to take a shared taxi, known locally as a 'service taxi.' These taxis can be found at various points around the Dead Sea resorts. You can ask your hotel concierge for assistance in arranging a service taxi to Jerusalem. The driver will take you to your destination, and you can request to be dropped off at King George St, which is near the Jerusalem Great Synagogue. The trip may take about 1 hour.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more comfortable and private option, you can hire a regular taxi from your hotel to Jerusalem. Simply ask the hotel staff to call a taxi for you. Make sure to inform the taxi driver that you want to go to King George St 56, Jerusalem. This option may cost more but will provide direct service. The travel time is approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic.

• Walking from the Light Rail Station

  Once you arrive at the Jerusalem Central Bus Station, take the light rail towards the 'City Center.' Get off at the 'City Hall' station. From there, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the Jerusalem Great Synagogue. Exit the station and head towards King George St. Walk straight for about 500 meters, and you will find the synagogue on your left at 56 King George St.
