Bus
From the Dead Sea area, head to the nearest bus stop, which is usually located near major hotels. Look for a bus that is heading towards Madaba or Amman. These buses frequently stop at key junctions along the highway. You will need to inform the driver that you want to get off at the junction towards Juwafat al-Kafrayn. The total travel time is approximately 30-45 minutes.
Walk
After getting off the bus at the junction towards Juwafat al-Kafrayn, you will need to walk approximately 2 km to reach Bethany beyond the Jordan. Follow the main road, and keep an eye out for directional signs pointing towards the archaeological site. Be sure to walk along the side of the road for safety, as it may not have a dedicated pedestrian pathway.
Local Taxi
Alternatively, once you reach the junction, you can hire a local taxi for a short ride to Bethany beyond the Jordan. Taxis are usually available at the junction. Ensure to agree on a fare before starting your journey. The taxi ride should take around 5-10 minutes.
