Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car from the Eastern Highlands, head towards Amman via the Desert Highway (Route 15). Follow the signs for Amman, and as you approach the city, take the exit towards Al Jandaweel. Keep driving until you reach K. Ali Ben Al-Hussein St. Once you arrive at the street, look for parking options nearby. There are several public parking areas where you can safely leave your vehicle. The Amman Citadel entrance is a short walk from these parking areas.

Public Transportation (Bus)

To reach Amman Citadel via public transportation, first find a bus that goes to Amman from your current location in the Eastern Highlands. Look for buses heading to the 'Central Bus Station' in Amman. Once you arrive at the Central Bus Station, you can take a local taxi or a minibus towards Al Jandaweel. Ask the driver to drop you off at K. Ali Ben Al-Hussein St. where the Citadel is located. The fare for the bus is usually around 1-2 Jordanian Dinars.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from your location in the Eastern Highlands straight to Amman Citadel. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The cost may vary depending on your starting point but expect to pay around 25-40 Jordanian Dinars for the trip. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the Citadel.
