Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Kerak Castle, which is a central landmark in the city. From the castle, head southeast on Al-Salaam Street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Al-Hussein Street. Turn left onto Al-Hussein Street and walk for another 500 meters. You will come across a small local market on your right; you can stop here to ask locals for directions if needed. Continue on Al-Hussein Street, which will eventually curve into Al-Mahatta Street. After approximately 800 meters, you will see a sign for بئر مدين. Follow the sign, and it should lead you directly to the site.

  Begin at the main bus station in Kerak, located near the city center. Look for a bus heading towards Al-Mudawara, which is a nearby village. The buses are usually marked with their destination. Once you board the bus, inform the driver that you’re going to بئر مدين. The bus ride should take about 20 minutes. Get off at the nearest stop to بئر مدين, which should be marked with signs. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the site. Follow the pathway, and you can ask locals if you need further directions.

  If you have access to a bicycle, start at Kerak Castle and cycle south towards Al-Salaam Street. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Al-Hussein Street. Cycle for about 500 meters until you reach the market area. Continue on Al-Hussein Street, which will curve into Al-Mahatta Street. Follow this road for approximately 800 meters until you see the sign for بئر مدين. The total distance should be around 3 kilometers, and it will take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on your cycling speed.
