Car
If you are traveling by car, head to Wadi Musa. From Ma'an Plateau, take Route 15 towards Wadi Musa. The drive should take around 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Wadi Musa, follow the signs to Petra. The Treasury is located within the Petra archaeological site. Look for parking areas designated for visitors, and from there, you will need to purchase an entry ticket to access Petra. The entry fee is approximately 50 Jordanian Dinars for a day pass.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a bus from Ma'an to Wadi Musa. Buses leave regularly from the Ma'an bus station and the journey typically takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Wadi Musa bus station, you will need to walk to the entrance of Petra, which is about a 20-minute walk. You can also find taxis or local tour operators at the bus station who can take you directly to the Petra entrance. Don't forget to purchase your entry ticket, which costs around 50 Jordanian Dinars for a day pass.
Walking
Once you have entered Petra, you will need to walk to The Treasury. The walk from the Petra Visitor Center to The Treasury takes about 30-40 minutes and follows a well-marked path through the stunning Siq, a narrow gorge that leads to the site. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as this is a popular route and can be quite busy.
