Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car from the Southern Jordan Valley, start by heading north on the main road (Route 15). Follow the signs towards Madaba. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit towards Route 35, following signs for Dana. Continue on Route 35 for about 45 kilometers until you reach the town of Dana. From Dana, follow the local signs leading to the Dana Biosphere Reserve entrance. The reserve is located at the coordinates 30.6742° N, 35.6084° E. Please note that parking fees may apply at the entrance.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from the Southern Jordan Valley to Madaba. Buses are available from various points in the valley. Once in Madaba, you will need to catch a taxi or a shared taxi (service) heading towards Dana. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they are going to Dana Biosphere Reserve, as some may only go to the town of Dana. The taxi ride will take about 1 hour and may cost around 10-15 Jordanian Dinars. Once you arrive in Dana, follow the signs to the reserve entrance, which is approximately 10 minutes away on foot.
