From Cross Timbers, head west on Main St towards S 4th St. Continue on Main St until you reach the intersection with US-169 S. Turn left onto US-169 S and follow it for about 3 miles. Merge onto I-70 W towards Topeka. After about 6 miles, take exit 410B to merge onto I-635 N towards Kansas City. Continue on I-635 N for approximately 10 miles, then take exit 11A to merge onto I-70 E. Follow I-70 E for 5 miles and take exit 415A for 78th St. Turn left onto S 78th St. Grinter Place State Historic Site will be on your right at 1420 S 78 St, Kansas City, KS 66111. Note: Parking is available on-site.
