The Iconic Mark Twain Statue: A Tribute to American Literature

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in Downtown Kansas City, you can easily walk to the Mark Twain Statue located at 234 W 10th St. Start by heading west on 10th St from any central location in downtown. If you are near the Kansas City Convention Center, exit onto 13th St and head west until you reach Wyandotte St. Turn left on Wyandotte St and walk south to 10th St. Once on 10th St, you will continue west for about 5 blocks until you reach the statue. The statue is located in a small park area, and you will see it on your left at the intersection of 10th St and Broadway Blvd.

• Public Transit - Bus

  You can take the bus to reach the Mark Twain Statue. Head to the nearest bus stop in Downtown Kansas City and catch the '10 - 10th Street' bus. Make sure to check the schedule for the next bus arrival. Ride the bus towards the west and get off at the '10th & Broadway' stop. From there, walk south for one block along Broadway Blvd, then turn left onto 10th St. The Mark Twain Statue will be on your left after a short walk.

• Biking

  If you prefer to bike, Kansas City has several bike lanes and bike-sharing options. Start from any point downtown and head towards 10th St. Use the bike lanes available on 10th St and ride west. You can also use a bike-sharing service like RideKC. After riding for about 5 blocks, you will reach the Mark Twain Statue at 234 W 10th St, located in a small park area just off the street.
