  • Public Transit (Bus)

    Start at the Kansas City Union Station. Board the KCATA bus route 101 (Northbound towards 9th & Main). Travel for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop at 12th & Main. Transfer to the route 25 (Northbound towards 10th & Cleveland), and travel for approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop at 10th & Cleveland. From here, you will need to transfer to the route 46 (Southbound towards 12th & Central). Ride for another 15 minutes and disembark at the stop at 7th & Shawnee Rd. Walk approximately 10 minutes west on Shawnee Rd until you reach Sauer Castle at 935 Shawnee Rd.

    If you are staying in the downtown area, you can walk to Sauer Castle. Start from the Country Club Plaza and head north on Broadway Blvd. Walk for about 1 mile until you reach W 47th St, then turn left. Continue on W 47th St for about 0.5 miles and turn right onto Shawnee Rd. Walk approximately 0.3 miles, and you will see Sauer Castle on your left at 935 Shawnee Rd.

    From downtown Kansas City, you can rent a bike from a local bike share program. Start at the bike station near the Kansas City Public Library and head south on Main St. Continue for about 1 mile, then take a left onto W 47th St. Continue on W 47th St for about 0.5 miles, then turn right onto Shawnee Rd. Ride for about 0.3 miles until you reach Sauer Castle at 935 Shawnee Rd. There are bike racks available near the entrance.
