From the Konza Prairie Biological Station, head northwest on KS-177 N. Continue on KS-177 N for approximately 8 miles. Take exit 14 for US-24 W toward Manhattan. Merge onto US-24 W and continue for about 3 miles. Take the exit toward Manhattan. Continue onto Anderson Ave. After about 1 mile, turn left onto 4th St, and then make a right onto Poyntz Ave. Continue straight for about 1 mile, and you will see City Park on your right. The Johnny Kaw statue is located within City Park.
