From the Konza Prairie Biological Station, head northwest on KS-177 N. Continue on KS-177 N for approximately 8 miles. Take exit 14 for US-24 W toward Manhattan. Merge onto US-24 W and continue for about 3 miles. Take the exit toward Manhattan. Continue onto Anderson Ave. After about 1 mile, turn left onto 4th St, and then make a right onto Poyntz Ave. Continue straight for about 1 mile, and you will see City Park on your right. The Johnny Kaw statue is located within City Park.

If you're using public transportation, you can take the Flint Hills Area Transportation Agency (FHATA) bus service. Look for the route that connects to Manhattan.
