Start at the intersection of Massachusetts Street and 9th Street in downtown Lawrence. Head east on 9th Street until you reach New Hampshire Street. Turn left (north) on New Hampshire Street and continue walking until you reach 6th Street. Turn right (east) on 6th Street and walk until you reach the Lawrence Public Library on your left. Continue past the library, and soon you will see signs for the Lawrence Arts Center. Keep walking until you reach the corner of 6th and Vermont Streets. From there, take a left (north) on Vermont Street, and it will lead you directly to the bus stop for the Lawrence Transit System. Take the bus that heads towards the area of Essex Street in Salem, Massachusetts. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times.

Begin at the nearest bus stop on Massachusetts Street. Board the bus that services the routes towards the Lawrence Transit Center. Once you arrive at the Transit Center, transfer to a bus that is heading to the Greyhound station. There, you can catch a Greyhound bus that goes to Salem, Massachusetts. Be sure to check the schedule in advance to find the right bus that fits your travel time. After arriving in Salem, follow the directions to Essex Street, which is a short walk from the bus station.
