Walking
From the center of Manhattan, start at City Park located at 1101 Poyntz Ave. Head east on Poyntz Ave for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with 4th St. Turn left on 4th St and continue for 0.3 miles until you reach Anderson Ave. Turn right onto Anderson Ave and walk for another 0.6 miles. You will arrive at Fort Riley's entrance. Since the First Territorial Capitol is located at 693 Huebner Rd, Fort Riley, you will need to continue straight through the gate, then follow signs to the historic site.

Starting from Manhattan Town Center, head east on Poyntz Ave toward 4th St. After reaching 4th St, turn left and ride north until you reach Anderson Ave. Turn right and continue on Anderson Ave for about 1 mile. Upon reaching Fort Riley, enter through the main gate and follow signs directing you to Huebner Rd. Continue on Huebner Rd for approximately 1 mile to reach the First Territorial Capitol State Historic Site.

Take the Flint Hills Area Transportation Agency (FHATA) bus from the nearest stop at Manhattan Town Center. Ride the bus towards Fort Riley. Depending on the schedule, you may need to transfer at Fort Riley's main stop. Once you arrive at Fort Riley, ask the bus driver for directions or look for signage leading you to Huebner Rd. Walk approximately 1 mile to reach the First Territorial Capitol State Historic Site located at 693 Huebner Rd.
