If you're starting from downtown Manhattan, walk towards the east on Poyntz Avenue until you reach 3rd Street. Turn left onto 3rd Street and continue walking until it intersects with Fort Riley Boulevard. At this intersection, you can catch the Riley County Public Transportation bus heading towards Fort Riley. Board the bus and ride it for about 20 minutes until you reach the Fort Riley Main Gate. After exiting the bus, proceed to the Main Post. Follow the signs towards Henry Avenue, and the US Cavalry Museum will be on your left at 205 Henry Ave.
Public Transportation
From the Manhattan Town Center, take the Riley County Public Transportation bus (Route 5) towards Fort Riley. Make sure to check the bus schedule as it may vary. After approximately 25 minutes on the bus, disembark at the Fort Riley Main Gate. Once you are through the gate, walk straight along Henry Avenue, and you will find the US Cavalry Museum located at 205 Henry Ave.
Biking
If you're comfortable biking, start from downtown Manhattan and head east on Poyntz Avenue. After about a mile, turn left onto Fort Riley Boulevard. Continue straight for approximately 6 miles until you reach the Fort Riley Main Gate. Once through the gate, turn left onto Henry Avenue. The US Cavalry Museum will be on your left at 205 Henry Ave.
