From Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest, head north on Bernheim Lane toward I-65 N. Merge onto I-65 N via the ramp to Louisville. Continue on I-65 N for about 25 miles. Take exit 135 for I-64 W toward St. Louis. Merge onto I-64 W and continue for approximately 2 miles. Take exit 5 for 3rd St toward downtown. At the exit, keep right to merge onto S 3rd St. Continue straight until you reach 1310 S 3rd St, The Filson Historical Society will be on your left.

Take Bus Route 17 (Old Louisville) from the nearest stop. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop at S 3rd St & Central Ave. Walk north on S 3rd St for about 5 minutes, and you will find The Filson Historical Society at 1310 S 3rd St on your right.
