If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards US-119 S from your location in the Eastern Mountain Coal Fields. Continue on US-119 S for approximately 20 miles. As you approach the area around Harlan, take KY-38 E towards Black Mountain. After about 6 miles, turn left onto KY-408. Continue on KY-408 for about 4 miles, and you will see signs for Black Mountain. Make sure to park safely at the designated areas.
