Car
If you're driving, start by heading east on the main roads of Inner Bluegrass. Depending on your starting point, you may want to take US-60 E (Shelbyville Road) towards I-264 E. Merge onto I-264 E and continue for about 6 miles. Take exit 12A for I-65 N toward Indianapolis. After about 2 miles, take exit 134 for I-264 E toward Hurstbourne Parkway. Continue on I-264 E for about 3 miles. Take exit 19 for Poplar Level Road. Turn left onto Poplar Level Road, then take a right onto Illinois Avenue. The Louisville Nature Center will be on your left at 3745 Illinois Ave, Louisville, KY 40213.

For public transportation, you can take the TARC (Transit Authority of River City) bus. Check the TARC website for the nearest bus stop in Inner Bluegrass and find the route that goes to Poplar Level Road. You will want to look for the buses that connect to Route 23. Once you reach the stop at Poplar Level Road, walk north for about 0.5 miles to Illinois Avenue. Turn left on Illinois Avenue, and the Louisville Nature Center will be on your left. Be sure to check the TARC schedule for current times and possible fares.
