Getting There

• Public Transportation

  Start your journey at the Louisville Mega Cavern, which is a central location accessible via public transport. From there, take the TARC (Transit Authority of River City) Route 23, which runs towards the Cave Hill Cemetery area. Get off at the 'Cave Hill Cemetery' stop. From the bus stop, walk east towards the entrance of the cemetery. Once you enter the cemetery, follow the signs to Muhammad Ali's Grave, which is located in the newer section of the cemetery. The grave is marked with a distinctive headstone, and you can ask cemetery staff for further directions if needed.

• Walking

  If you find yourself near the Louisville Zoo, you can walk to Muhammad Ali's Grave. Head north on Trevilian Way towards the intersection with Lexington Road. Cross Lexington Road, and continue straight onto the entrance of Cave Hill Cemetery. Upon entering, follow the path to your right, leading you deeper into the cemetery until you reach the section where Muhammad Ali's Grave is located. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the zoo, so wear comfortable shoes.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer biking, start from downtown Louisville and take the bike lanes along 4th Street heading northeast. Continue on 4th Street until you reach the intersection with Broadway. Turn right onto Broadway and continue until you reach the intersection with Baxter Avenue. Turn left on Baxter, and then take a right onto Hillcrest Avenue, which leads directly to the entrance of Cave Hill Cemetery. Once inside, follow the paths to Muhammad Ali's Grave. Make sure to lock your bike at bike racks near the entrance.
