Eldoret Southern Bypass: A Scenic Route Through Eldoret

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Eldoret (for example, starting at the Eldoret Post Office), head southeast on Kenyatta Street towards Uganda Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with the Eldoret - Nakuru Road (A104). Cross the road and head towards Moi University. Walk along Moi University Road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Lemook Primary School, which is near the Eldoret Southern Bypass. The Southern Bypass itself is right at the end of the school area, providing access to the bypass.

• Public Transport (Matatu)

  From any point in Eldoret, look for a matatu (shared taxi) heading to Moi University or the Southern Bypass. Board the matatu at a designated matatu stage. The fare is usually around 50-100 Kenyan Shillings. Inform the driver you want to alight at Lemook Primary School. After a short ride of about 10-15 minutes, the driver will drop you near the school. Walk to the primary school, and the Eldoret Southern Bypass will be adjacent to it.

• Bicycle

  If you are cycling, start from the central Eldoret area. Head southeast towards Kenyatta Street, continuing onto Uganda Road. Follow the road as it leads to the Eldoret - Nakuru Road (A104). Once you reach this main road, take a left towards Moi University. Ride along Moi University Road, and after approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will find Lemook Primary School on your left. The Southern Bypass is right next to the school.
