BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir: A Serene Spiritual Oasis in Eldoret

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Eldoret Town Center, head east on Uganda Road. Walk for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Kago Street. Turn right onto Kago Street and continue walking straight for about 500 meters. The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir will be on your left side, marked by its distinct architecture.

• Bicycle

  From the Eldoret Town Center, rent a bicycle and head east along Uganda Road. Continue for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Kago Street. Turn right onto Kago Street and cycle straight for around 500 meters. The temple will be on your left. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local cycling rules.

• Public Transport

  Take a matatu (shared taxi) from any main bus stop in Eldoret towards Kapsabet. Inform the conductor you want to get off at the Kago Street junction. Once you alight, walk along Kago Street for about 500 meters, and you will find BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir on your left side.

• Taxi (on foot to taxi pickup)

  From your location, walk to the nearest taxi pickup point in Eldoret (usually found in the Town Center). Request a taxi to take you to Kago Street. Once you arrive at Kago Street, disembark and walk approximately 500 meters along Kago Street. The temple will be located on your left side.
