Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from Elgeyo Escarpment and head towards the town of Naivasha. From Elgeyo Escarpment, follow the road to the A104 highway, which is approximately 50 km away. Once you reach the A104, turn left towards Naivasha. Continue on the A104 for about 30 km until you see the signs for Mount Longonot National Park. Turn onto the road leading to the park entrance. The park is about 13 km off the main road, and you will need to pay an entrance fee of approximately 1,000 KES for non-residents. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as some roads may be rough.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Mount Longonot National Park using public transportation, take a matatu (shared minibus) from Elgeyo Escarpment to Naivasha. You can find matatus at the local transport terminus. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and will cost around 200-300 KES. Once in Naivasha, you can take another matatu heading towards the park or ask for a taxi to take you directly to the park entrance. The additional cost for a taxi may range from 1,000 to 1,500 KES.
