    To reach Menengai Crater via public transportation, start by taking a matatu (shared taxi) from Kitui to Nakuru. The fare is approximately 300 KES and the journey takes about 2-3 hours, depending on traffic. Upon reaching Nakuru, find a matatu heading towards Menengai Crater; the fare for this leg is around 100 KES. Ensure to confirm with the driver that they are heading to Menengai Crater before boarding. The drop-off point will be near the entrance to the crater.
