Turn onto the road leading to the Crater, and follow the signs. The drive should take about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Ensure your vehicle has a full tank of fuel, as there are limited fuel stations nearby.

To reach Menengai Crater via public transportation, start by taking a matatu (shared taxi) from Kitui to Nakuru. The fare is approximately 300 KES and the journey takes about 2-3 hours, depending on traffic. Upon reaching Nakuru, find a matatu heading towards Menengai Crater; the fare for this leg is around 100 KES. Ensure to confirm with the driver that they are heading to Menengai Crater before boarding. The drop-off point will be near the entrance to the crater. From there, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the actual viewing area.
