Car

If you are driving from the Lake Bogoria area, head south on the main road towards Lorwok. After approximately 10 kilometers, look for the sign indicating Mbechot Water Pan. Turn left onto the dirt road that leads directly to the pan. The roads may be uneven, so drive carefully. After about 2 kilometers of driving along this road, you will reach the Mbechot Water Pan, located at coordinates 0.3647324, 36.1075796.

Public Transportation

To reach Mbechot Water Pan via public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from the main Lake Bogoria bus stop heading towards Lorwok. The fare is approximately 100 KES. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Mbechot Water Pan. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Lorwok, you may need to walk or hire a local boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to cover the last 2 kilometers to reach the pan.

If you are already in Lorwok and need to reach Mbechot Water Pan, hiring a boda-boda is an excellent option. The fare for this short trip is usually around 200 KES.
