If you are starting from the Malindi town center, head towards the coast. Walk along Lamu Road until you reach the junction with Marine Park Road. Turn left onto Marine Park Road and continue straight. You will pass several small shops and local eateries along the way. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will see the Malindi Museum on your right. Continue past the museum, and shortly after, you will reach the Vasco da Gama Pillar, which is located near the beach and should be visible as you approach.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Malindi. Start from the town center and cycle towards the coast on Lamu Road. When you reach the Marine Park Road junction, turn left.
