Bicycle
If you are starting from the Mombasa city center, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Head east towards Moi Avenue, then turn left onto Moi Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Nkurumah Road. Take a right onto Nkurumah Road and follow it until you reach the ferry terminal. Cross the ferry to the south side of the river, and continue straight for about 2 km on the road until you reach Kenyatta Beach.

From the Mombasa city center, walk towards Moi Avenue and head east. Follow Moi Avenue until you reach the junction with Nkurumah Road. Turn left onto Nkurumah Road and walk towards the ferry terminal. Take the ferry across to the south side. Once off the ferry, continue walking straight for approximately 2 km along the road until you arrive at Kenyatta Beach.

From the city center, locate the matatu stage along Moi Avenue. Board a matatu heading towards Likoni. The fare is usually affordable. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at the Likoni ferry terminal. After reaching the terminal, take the ferry across to the south side. Once you disembark, you can walk or take a local tuk-tuk for about 2 km to Kenyatta Beach.
