Getting there

Bicycle

If you are near Mombasa Old Town, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head northwest towards Moi Avenue, then take a left onto Kenyatta Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the Nyali Bridge. Cross the bridge, and once you reach the Nyali area, follow the signs to Mombasa Beach. Keep going straight until you see Makert located near the beach. It should be a short ride of about 20-30 minutes.

Public Bus

Locate the nearest bus stop and take a public bus heading towards Nyali. Ask the conductor to let you off at the Nyali Bridge stop. From there, walk straight towards Mombasa Beach. You will see signs guiding you to Makert as you approach the beach area. The entire journey should take approximately 30-40 minutes.

Walking

If you are already at Mombasa Beach or nearby, simply walk towards the beach area. Head south along the shoreline until you reach Makert, which is situated prominently along the beach. The walk should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on your starting point.

Tuk-tuk

Hail a tuk-tuk from your current location in Mombasa. Tell the driver you want to go to Makert at Mombasa Nyali Beach. The driver will take you through the city towards the Nyali area. The ride is typically quick, taking around 15-25 minutes depending on traffic.
