Matatu
From the city center of Mombasa, head to the Mombasa bus terminal (also known as the 'Makadara' bus station). Here, you can catch a matatu (local minibus) heading to Likoni. Look for matatus labeled 'Likoni' or 'Ferry'. The fare is usually around 50-100 KES. Once you board, tell the conductor you are going to the Likoni Ferry. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic.
Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
If you prefer a faster option, you can take a boda boda from anywhere in Mombasa. Just ask the rider to take you to the Likoni Ferry. The ride will give you a more personal experience and will take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. The fare typically ranges from 200-400 KES.
Walking from the Likoni Ferry
Once you reach the Likoni Ferry terminal, you will need to walk towards the Likoni Floating Bridge. After disembarking from the ferry, follow the road signs leading to the bridge, which is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry terminal. You will see the bridge in the distance. Enjoy the views along the way!
