Renting a motorcycle or scooter in Pakse or Champasak is a popular option. From Champasak, follow the signs to Vat Phou, about 10 km away. Roads are generally in good condition. Rental costs approximately 70,000-80,000 LAK per day. Parking near the entrance costs 5,000 LAK.
Taxi
Taxis can be hired from Pakse International Airport or Pakse city. A one-way trip to Vat Phou will cost around 200,000-300,000 LAK, and the journey takes approximately 1 hour. Agree on the price before departure.
