If you are traveling by car from the capital of Houaphanh Province, Sam Neua, take Route 6 heading northeast. Drive approximately 75 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route 1. Turn left onto Route 1, and continue for about 20 kilometers. Look for signs pointing towards Phathi. After approximately another 15 kilometers, you will arrive at Phathi plateau, located at coordinates 20.4704731, 103.7277164. The entire journey should take around 2 hours, depending on road conditions.

To reach Phathi plateau using public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Sam Neua to the nearest town to Phathi. Buses to Phakha usually leave from the main bus station in Sam Neua. The fare is around 30,000 LAK (approximately $3 USD) and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Phakha, you will need to hire a tuk-tuk or motorbike taxi to reach Phathi plateau.
