Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Luang Prabang, head towards the Mekong River. Start at the intersection of Sisavangvong Road and Phothisarath Road. Walk north on Sisavangvong Road for about 700 meters until you reach the riverfront. From there, turn left and continue walking along the river. After approximately 200 meters, you will see signs for Wat Xiengthong. The temple is located at V4XV+277, Khem Khong, Luang Prabang, just a short distance from the riverbank.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from any of the local shops in the city center. Head north on Sisavangvong Road towards the Mekong River. Once you reach the river, turn left. Continue riding alongside the river for about 200 meters. You will see the entrance to Wat Xiengthong on your right. The ride should take you around 10-15 minutes depending on your pace.
