Getting There

• Walking

  Vongprachan Backpackers Hostel is located within easy walking distance of many of Luang Prabang's main attractions. From the city center, head towards Mount Phousi. The hostel is a short walk from the mountain, near the morning market. Walking is a great way to explore the area and soak in the local atmosphere. No costs are associated with walking.

• Tuk-tuk

  If arriving from Luang Prabang International Airport or the bus station, a tuk-tuk is a convenient option. Tuk-tuks are readily available and can be found throughout the city. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey. A typical tuk-tuk ride from the airport to the hostel costs around 50,000 LAK. From the Southern Bus Station, expect to pay around 40,000 LAK.

• E-Bus

  Luang Prabang has a network of e-Buses that offer a carbon-free way to get around the city. The Red Line connects the National Stadium to the airport. The Yellow Line runs a loop from the National Stadium to the Central Tourist District and passes many hotels and guesthouses. The Green Line takes in the Peninsula and Central Tourist District. Fares are generally less than conventional tuk-tuks.
