The palace remained unfinished and was later used for Communist party congresses.In 1995, the palace was transformed into the Champasak Palace Hotel, offering visitors a chance to stay within a historical edifice. The hotel's design blends European neo-classical styles with traditional Lao motifs, featuring seven stories, arched balconies, and high ceilings. It is also known as the “Thousand Room Pavillion” because it has approximately 1,900 doors and windows sculptured in traditional Laotian style. Renovated in 2004, the hotel retains its original charm while providing modern amenities.Today, the Champasak Palace Hotel stands as a prominent tourist attraction in Pakse, drawing visitors with its grandeur and historical narrative.
