Walking
The Old Quarter is easily walkable, with most attractions located within a compact area. From anywhere within the Old Quarter, you can reach most temples, markets, and historical sites within a 5-15 minute walk. Be aware of uneven sidewalks and pedestrian traffic.
Tuk-tuk
Tuk-tuks are readily available throughout Luang Prabang and are a convenient way to reach the Old Quarter from outside the immediate area. Expect to pay around 30,000-50,000 LAK for a short trip within the city. Negotiate the price before you get in.
E-Bus
Luang Prabang has a network of electric buses (e-Buses) that provide a carbon-free way to get around the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Yellow Line runs a loop from the National Stadium to the Central Tourist District, passing many hotels and guesthouses. The fare is generally less than conventional tuk-tuks.
