From Phonsavan city center, rent a motorbike and head south on Route 7 towards Nak Ho. Continue for approximately 8 km until you spot the sign for 'Plain of Jars Site 2' on your left. The ride takes about 15-20 minutes. Ensure you wear a helmet and drive safely as the roads can be busy. Motorbike rental typically costs around 70,000 kip per day. Entrance fee to the site is 30,000 kip.
Tuk-tuk
Hire a tuk-tuk from Phonsavan. Negotiate the price beforehand, a round trip to Site 2 should cost approximately 150,000-200,000 kip. The journey takes around 30-40 minutes. The driver will wait for you at the site while you explore. Remember to pay the entrance fee of 30,000 kip upon arrival.
