From the center of Phonsavan, start at the main market area (Phonsavan Market). Exit the market and head east on Road 7. Continue walking for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Road 13. At the intersection, turn right onto Road 13. Continue straight for about 7 kilometers, following the signs for the Plain of Jars. You will pass by several local shops and eateries along the way. After about 7 kilometers on Road 13, look for signs for 'Plain of Jars Site 2' and turn left onto the access road. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers, and you will arrive at Plain of Jars Site 2.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Phonsavan. Start at the main market and follow the same route as for walking: head east on Road 7, then turn right onto Road 13 after 2 kilometers. Continue on Road 13 for about 7 kilometers, keeping an eye out for signs directing you to Plain of Jars Site 2. Once you spot the signs, turn left onto the access road and cycle for about 2 kilometers until you reach the site. This route is mostly flat and offers a scenic view of the surrounding landscape.
