Continue on Route 9 for approximately 17 kilometers, passing the airport and following the signs towards the border with Thailand. As you approach the Mekong River, look for signs directing you to the Cable Bridge. The bridge is located at coordinates 16.625106, 106.418861. You can park your car at designated areas near the bridge.

Public Transportation

To reach Cable Bridge by public transportation, take a local bus or songthaew (shared taxi) from the Savannakhet bus station. Buses frequently depart for the southern areas of the province. Inform the driver that you wish to go to the Cable Bridge. The fare typically costs around 10,000 LAK (about $1 USD), and the journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Cable Bridge, you may need to walk a short distance from the drop-off point to reach the bridge.

Motorbike Rental
