From Savannakhet city center, start at the Savannakhet Market. Head east on Rue Kaysone Phomvihane for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Rue Soukha. Turn left onto Rue Soukha and continue for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you see the bus station on your right. At the bus station, look for a local bus heading towards the town of Khammouane. Confirm with the driver that they will pass close to Nong Bungva.

Take the local bus from the Savannakhet bus station towards Khammouane. The bus ride will take around 30-45 minutes. Ask the driver to let you know when you are near Nong Bungva as the stops may not be clearly marked. The bus will typically drop you off at a point where you can see the lake in the distance.

Once you get off the bus, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer towards the lake. Follow the road signs pointing towards Nong Bungva. The path will lead you through some local neighborhoods, where you can ask residents for further directions if needed. You should eventually see the lake ahead.
