Car
If you are driving a car, head east from the center of Xiangkhoang Province (Phonsavan). Take Route 7 towards Songkeo. After about 30 km, you will reach a turn-off for Songkeo. Follow the signs for Songkeo and continue straight until you reach the village. Once in Songkeo, look for W4H2+86 on your GPS. The Tchao Anouvong Cave is located a short distance from the village center. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel as gas stations can be sparse.

Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Tchao Anouvong Cave via public transportation, take a local bus from Phonsavan to Songkeo. Buses depart from the main bus station in Phonsavan several times a day. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Songkeo, you can either walk to the cave, which is about 2 km from the bus stop, or hire a local tuk-tuk for a small fee (usually around 20,000 LAK) to take you directly to the cave entrance.

If you prefer to travel by tuk-tuk, you can hire one from Phonsavan to take you directly to Tchao Anouvong Cave. This option is more expensive than public transport, costing around 100,000 LAK for a round trip. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to negotiate the price before getting in.
